JPW Ovens & Furnaces is excited to announce the expansion of its manufacturing operations at their Williamsport facility located at 3607 West Fourth Street, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey. With all production now centralized at this location, the decision to consolidate was driven by several key factors aimed at meeting the increasing market demand.
By moving to the larger Williamsport site, JPW is positioned to support its diverse product lines more effectively. The city location offers a greater availability of skilled labor compared to the more rural Trout Run, facilitating the hiring of qualified employees. The site offers improved logistics, making it easier to ship and receive products efficiently.
The assessment of the need for more space stemmed from a clear challenge: the original Trout Run facility could no longer accommodate the product volume required to meet lead times in fulfilling customer orders. In response, JPW has converted warehousing into dedicated manufacturing space and upgraded the infrastructure, adding essential features such as power, lighting, a crane, and a paint booth to enhance production capabilities.
JPW’s Mike Jameson said, “The transition to a consolidated location has positively impacted our workforce by allowing for more efficient utilization of skilled labor—all operating under one roof. While we are currently pleased with the manufacturing capacity at the Williamsport facility, there are plans to develop additional infrastructure to support the office staff soon.”
